    Get a FREE, face to face Business Advisory session - appointments available now for the Cumberland area.

    The Business Advice Sessions are delivered in partnership with the Cumberland City Council, Western Sydney Business Centre, NSW Business Connect and Service NSW for Business.

    These are one-on-one sessions and places are limited.

    Note, each session is approximately 60 minutes in duration (free of charge, as part of the 8 hours advisory sessions allocated each financial year from Business Connect) Please ensure to include your suburb in your request for a meeting with Rebecca Di Noia. Rebecca will be in contact within 24-48 business hours after request.

    Diversity is good for business

    As part of the 'Trade Up to a Better Future Program' you're invited to join the Greater Cumberland Chamber of Commerce, Brown Boss Babes, and cumberland City Council to learn about the benefits of women in trade and non-traditional roles. What challenges do women face in trade and male dominated industries? How do they overcome them? How do they break gender barriers? How do women from CALD background face challenges in business?

    Come and Listen to women from various fields talk about their journey, success stories and challenges they have faced. Featuring guest speakers Vithyaa Thavapalan (Co-Founder & Presidet, Brown Boss Babes) and Prof Alphia Possamai-Inesedy (Pro Vice Chancellor, Western Sydney University), and a panel of business leaders.

    Open Day - Training and Jobs for women in Construction

    On Wednesday 27 March, Cumberland City Council and DLI Training are holding an open day for women interested in short training courses to get a job in the construction industry. It is a chance to find out about programs, try some practical demonstrations, and even win a scholarship to pay for your course! Find out more here.
