June 2024 update:
Civic Park Upgrade Project was officially reopened to the community following a major transformation.
The official event included a special plaque unveiling and ribbon cutting ceremony, where residents, community members and visitors explored and enjoyed the park's exciting new features. From a new inclusive and accessible nature play space to outdoor fitness zone and table tennis, picnic areas, a half-court basketball court, new amenities and more.
As part of the Civic Park Project, the Pendle Creek wetlands were also upgraded to include new pedestrian bridges and improved connections through the carpark to the Pendle Hill Town Centre, new gabion walls, island planting and litter collection rack.
Feburary 2024 update:
Due to the unforeseen circumstances works to complete the Civic Park & Pendle Hill Wetland Improvement Project will be delayed and are expected to be completed by early May 2024, weather permitting.

November 2023 update:
The Civic Park and Pendle Hill Wetland Improvement Project is making progress with the project on track for completion in March 2024, weather permitting.
Upgrades to Civic Park are nearing completion with crews installing bridges, sandstone cladded walls, connecting footballs, brick walls, play and fitness equipment and an Exeloo amenity.
The works to Pendle Creek are also on track with the gabion walls, island planting, bridges, trash rack and two gross pollutant traps completed.
The final stages of the project include the construction of two carparks, the half-court basketball court and landscaping works.
April 2023: Construction begins at Civic Park and Pendle Creek Wetland
Cumberland City Council will be undertaking an upgrade of Civic Park & Wetland, Pendle Hill. The project is jointly funded by Cumberland City Council and NSW Government through its WestInvest grant. CA&I have been contracted by Cumberland City Council as the Principal Contractor to construct the works on behalf of Council. CA&I Pty Ltd is a well-established and reputable civil contractor that provide an exceptional level of service to its clients and stakeholders.
The Project is expected to commence on 26 April 2023 and will be completed in March 2024, weather permitting. The construction upgrade will involve wetland improvements, playspace and outdoor fitness facilities, picnic areas, half-court basketball, carpark, pathways and lighting. The objective of the project is to deliver an enhanced park for the Pendle Hill community.
