Have your say on the recent Train Timetable Changes
At the Cumberland Council meeting held on 13 November 2024, the following Notice of Motion was moved. That Council:
- Write to the State Members for Granville and Prospect, and the NSW Minister for Transport and the Shadow Minister for Transport and Roads, asking them to reconsider and to re-instate express services at Granville and Lidcombe, and other affected train stations in Western Sydney such as Wentworthville, Toongabbie, Pendle Hill, Westmead and Auburn; and
- Organise a community forum attended by the State Members of Parliament, the Transport and Shadow Ministers, the Lord Mayor of City of Parramatta Council, all affected Ward Councillors from both Cumberland City Council and City of Parramatta Council and local residents to collectively workshop this urgent matter and agree on required actions moving forward.
The Motion on being Put was declared CARRIED Unanimously.
