Latest updates for the proposed drainage easement
February 2025 update:
Consultation has closed for the proposed drainage easement at 18 Monterey Street, South Wentworthville, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.
December 2024 consultation:
Cumberland Council is giving notification of the proposal of granting a drainage easement through Council’s Reserve in favour of the property located at 18 Monterey Street, South Wentworthville (Lot 538 in DP11653).
The easement will permit the legal disposal of stormwater into Council’s stormwater system through Council’s Reserve (Monterey Street Park, Lot 1 in DP1037917) in accordance with the Section 68 approval, to carry out stormwater drainage works.
Acting under Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, Cumberland Council is giving notification of the proposal of granting a drainage easement through Council’s Reserve in favour of the property located at 18 Monterey Street, South Wentworthville (Lot 538 in DP11653). The easement will permit the legal disposal of stormwater into Council’s stormwater system through Council’s Reserve (Monterey Street Park, Lot 1 in DP1037917) in accordance with the Section 68 approval, to carry out stormwater drainage works.
The land affected by the easement is within Lot 1 in DP1037917, which forms part of Council’s larger landholding and will occupy an approximate area of 1 square metres (1 metre in width and 1 metre in length) for a term in perpetuity.
