Endeavour Energy completed the work they needed to do in mid December. This will now allow the remaining construction work to proceed.

The remaining work will proceed at the start of 2025, and is anticipated to complete in March 2025.

The Merrylands CBD Drainage and Infrastructure Upgrade is progressing with Addlestone Road now open to southbound traffic from Merrylands Road, improving the traffic flow and easing congestion around the project.

Construction fencing along the footpath on Addlestone Road (east side) has now been removed, providing better pedestrian access to and from the shops.

Utility works on the west side at the intersection of Addlestone Road and Merrylands Road are experiencing significant delays due to a current industrial action against Endeavour Energy by the Electrical Trades Union.

Unfortunately, this means that Council cannot progress to the next stage of the project until Endeavour Energy complete the required works to this area.

In the meantime, Council is looking at further options to improve traffic and pedestrian access for Addlestone Road.
