August 2025 update: 
A Development Application (DA) has been lodged for The Duck River Parklets Project.
As part of the process the DA will be on notification for 28 days, during this time submissions can be made via the NSW planning portal, please use this link which will take you directly to the NSW Planning Portal.

The exhibition period for the DA is from Thursday 21 August 2025 to Thursday 18 September 2025.

December 2024 update:
Cumberland City council has received two Metrogreenspace Grants to construct Mimosa Street Parklet and Seventh Street Parklet in Granville.
Proudly funded by the NSW Government.
November 2024 update:
Council is currently undertaking detailed site investigation and planning approvals to support the construction of 7th Street and Mimosa Street Parklets.
September 2023 update
Consultation on the proposed Duck River Parklets has closed, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.
August 2023 update
Guided by the Duck River Strategic Masterplan, Council developed concept designs for two new parklets at the end of Mimosa St and Seventh St in Granville. These Parklets will assist in improving local connections to the Duck River Parklands, provide new seating areas and play items as well as environmental elements for treatment of storm water runoff from urban catchments.
This project is part of the Metropolitan Greenspace Program that is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with Local Government NSW.
