Council values the opinions and suggestions of the community, and would appreciate your input on the proposed improvements to the Laneway and Guildford Road as part of Guildford CID. It has been developed to support the revitalisation of the Guildford Town Centre, leveraging commitments under the pilot program to deliver a series of initivatives designed to celebrate Guildford's character, diversity and cultural richness.
The consultation will run from the Monday 17 November to Monday 15 December. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to fill out by completing by completing the survey below. If you prefer, you can email your submission, write it out and post it out to Council instead of completing it online. Submissions are open until Monday 15 December 2025.

Building a better Guildford
What we are doing 
Council has received funding from the NSW Government to establish a Community Improvement District for Guildford Town Centre.
Celebrated for it's vibrant community and cultural diverisity, Guildford will benefit from the CID thorugh strengthened collaboration between Council and local businesses to enhance it's appeal as a destination to visit, shop and connect.
What we want to achieve
By improving the experiences at Guildford Town Centre through physical upgrades and working with businesses we will help attract residents and visitors to explore the retail, services and culinary offerings of the main street and surroundings.
This will create a more vibrant and safe space, as well as enhance the economic activity of the area.
We want to hear from you
A CID is a partnership. We value your ideas and want businesses to be central to Guildford's renewal. Together, we can create improvements that both benefit the community and your customers.

The Council is partnering with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to establish a multifaceted approach to active transport and public space placemaking, supporting place-specific and complementary initiatives to enhance the vibrancy, safety, and connectivity in and around the Guildford Town Centre Community Improvement District.
