Have your say on the proposed road closure for Dennistoun Avenue
Following road safety concerns raised, Council resolved to undertake further consultation with the residents in Dennistoun Avenue, Guilford West to determine support for the closure of Dennistoun Avenue at the intersection with Fairfield Road.

Council values the opinions and suggestions of the community, and would appreciate your input on the proposed road closure in Dennistoun Avenue, Guildford West. In accordance with Section 116 of the Roads Act 1993, Council invites written submissions from people affected by the proposal. Your comments are important in the decision-making process.

The consultation period runs from Tuesday 24 June to Wednesday 23 July 2025. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal. Anyone who wishes to provide feedback on the proposal must do so in writing by 4pm Wednesday 23 July 2025.
Council continues to strive to provide safer roads or the community and your participation in this survey will promote these outcomes. You are encouraged to make a submission as the consultation outcome will be informed by the submissions received.
