Previous community consultation:

April 2022 consultation:

As part of Council's Open Space and Recreation Strategy it was identified that northern Auburn is in need of more open space.

Council is extending Auburn Park towards Karrabah Road to meet existing and growing needs of our community. Auburn Park is a key piece of green open space in northern Auburn and is well utilised by the community. This Extension also relates to the Parramatta Road Urban Amenity Improvement Program.

The Extension will replace Council-owned houses between Beemra St and Auburn Girls High School. DA2021/0451 for the demolition of 43-55 Karrabah Road has been approved, but before demolition can start, services will need to be disconnected. You may see some works over the coming months as gas services lines will be remove and temporary fencing will be installed.

Council sought community feedback on two design options for the Extension. The consultation period ran from 7 April 2022 to 8 May 2022.
