Work on the Playspace at Webbs Avenue, Auburn 

September 2021 update:

The newly-completed Playspace at Webbs Avenue in Auburn has revitalised one of the many gateways into the Duck River corridor.  Situated in a previously disused portion of the Webbs Avenue Playing Fields, and designed in line with NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play guidelines, the playspace provides play and recreation opportunities for the diverse community of Auburn.

A key principle in the design of the playspace is to blur the edges of the play areas, resulting in an integrated space that encourages kids to explore and discover beyond the traditional equipment as well as allow for easy expansion in the future.

July 2021 update:

Work on the Playspace at Webbs Avenue, Auburn is now complete.

May 2021 update:

Cumberland City Council is commencing work to install the new playspace at Webbs Avenue. Work will take place during May and June.

February 2021 update:

The survey is now closed, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to all who provided feedback.

December 2020 Consultation:

Cumberland City Council is proposing a local playspace at Webbs Avenue in Auburn.

The playspace will include formal and informal play opportunities for a wide range of ages and abilities, accessible paths, seating and landscape planting. Construction is expected to commence in early-mid 2021.

Council is inviting the community to comment on the concept design for a new local playspace at Webbs Avenue in Auburn.

During this community consultation period, the residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal.

The playspace is funded by Council and the NSW Government through the Metropolitan Greenspace Program.
