Rosehill Network Rosehill Pipeline Scheme Application

The Rosehill scheme services the Fairfield-Rosehill areas of Sydney. The scheme currently provides recycled water services to industrial customers. Treated wastewater sourced from Sydney Water is further treated to produce recycled water.

Rosehill Network Pty Ltd has applied for a Scheme Approval variation under the Water Industry Competition Act 2006 (WIC Act). The variation relates to a major extension of the scheme to service a new data centre customer and includes the construction of approximately 15 km of pipeline, a new pumping station and additional water reservoir storages. The scheme’s existing Advanced Water Treatment Plant already has capacity to supply the proposed volume of water to the data centre.

In addition to assessing the application under the WIC Act, IPART is the determining authority for the activity under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979

The application includes a Review of Environmental Factors (REF) to identify and assess the potential environmental impacts of the proposed activity and to outline mitigation measures.

The submission period closes on 29 July 2026.
