Council has prepared a Cumberland Natural Areas Plan of Management. The plan has been prepared within the legislative requirements of the Local Government Act 1993, Crown Land Management Act 2016 and Crown Land Management Regulation 2018, to support how natural areas managed and developed into the future. A Public Hearing about the Cumberland Natural Areas Plan of Management categorisation of community and crown land will be held at Merrylands Service Centre, 16 Memorial Avenue, Merrylands on Thursday 5 March 2026. Register now to secure your spot.

Council values the opinions and suggestions of the community, and would appreciate your thoughts on the Cumberland Natural Areas Plan of Management.

During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to give their feedback about the Cumberland Natural Areas Plan of Management and what they would like to see. Submissions are open from Thursday 12 February 2026 until Thursday 26 March 2026.

Submissions concerning this plan are to be made by Thursday 26 March 2026.

There are three ways you can lodge a submission:
