October 2024 update:
The design has been finalised and Construction is anticipated to start in 2025. An update will be provided once contractors have been procured to deliver the works.
December 2023 update:
Consultation on the M. J. Bennett Reserve Park Upgrade has closed, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.
October 2023 consultation:
Council are upgrading and making improvements to M.J. Bennett Reserve Park in Westmead. The proposed works include improvements to the existing playground, outdoor fitness equipment and basketball court.
This upgrade work aligns with the proposed Master Plan for Westmead South, which exhibits further proposed future improvements to the park. View more information about the Westmead South Draft Master Plan currently on consultation.

The consultation period runs from Tuesday 31 October 2023 until Friday 8 December 2023. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to give their feedback about the proposed upgrades to M.J. Bennett Reserve Park in Westmead. Anyone who wishes to provide feedback on the proposal must do so in writing by 5pm Friday 8 December 2023.
