Korea Town - Lidcombe Town Centre

In response to a Notice of Motion adopted at the Council meeting of 26 February 2025, Council progressed an investigation into establishing a “Korea Town” in Lidcombe Town Centre recognising the area’s significant Korean community.

Council has investigated the installation of a Korea Town Gate, Noticeboard and Signage within the Joseph Street Precinct in the Lidcombe Town Centre.

It is proposed that these elements will be located near the intersection of Joseph Street and Bridge Street.

Council has prepared preliminary concept designs for these elements and is seeking community feedback on the proposal.

    Submissions close at 11pm Tuesday 28 July 2026.
