Cumberland City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest to nominate members to the Cumberland Design Excellence Panel.

The Cumberland Design Excellence Panel acts as an advisory panel to provide expert design feedback and promote improved design quality and aims to achieve a better built form within the Cumberland Local Government Area.

Submissions are open from 31 July to 27 August 2026.

Submit your application using the submission form below, you must respond to the criteria during the application detailing the reason you are seeking appointment and any additional relevant skills, knowledge and experience. In addition, please submit a copy of a current resume.

Consideration, assessment and appointment of panel members is at the sole discretion of Council.

Salary: Members will be remunerated per meeting and will be agreed upon prior to engagement. 

Note: Applicants are required to be aware that those ineligible to become panel members (and will not be considered) include:

• An elected Councillor or full-time Council employee of any council,
• A property developer within the meaning of section 96GB of the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981,
• A real estate agent within the meaning of the Property, Stock and Business Agents Act 2002.
