  • Specific sites in Auburn and Lidcombe

Following consideration by Council and the Local Planning Panel in 2021, a Planning Proposal for targeted sites in Auburn and Lidcombe was submitted to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment in late 2021. In its assessment of the proposal, the Department determined that further technical reports were needed in order to understand the impact the proposals would have on their surrounding areas. In response to the Department’s determination, Council has resolved the following:

    Auburn

At the Council Meeting of 2 November 2022, Council resolved to not proceed with the Planning Proposal for the targeted sites in Auburn. Any landowner initiated Planning Proposals may be received for properties within the area, which would be assessed and reported to Council in accordance with statutory and policy requirements.
