Merrylands Civic Square Art Installation

Have your say on the new artwork installation in Merrylands Civic Square

Concept design for the Merrylands Art InstallationAt the Council meeting on 1 November 2023, Council resolved to progress an art installation for the Merrylands Civic Square that honours the past and ongoing contribution of notable and inspiring local women.

Cumberland City Council seeks to share the stories of Merrylands' past women of influence, achievement and significance in  Merrylands Civic Square. Telling these local stories will enhance the community experience of the space. The art installation will both complement and enhance the existing artworks to foster a sense of community and belonging.

Through the inspirational stories of the past women of the Merrylands area, will encourage current and future generations to see a place for themselves in Cumberland's community.
