Cumberland City Council is giving notification of the proposed Edible Garden in Auburn Botanic Gardens. 

Council is developing a new display garden with a collection of edible plants from around the world. The new garden will showcase a range of edible plants including vegetables, herbs, climbing plants and vines to showcase and educate park visitors on the origins and growth of edible plants. We want your input on what we plant.

Council values the opinions and suggestions of the community, and would appreciate your thoughts on the proposed Edible Garden project in Auburn Botanic Gardens.

The consultation period runs from Tuesday 3 March 2026 until Friday 10 April 2026. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal by completing by completing the feedback form below. If you prefer, you can complete email your submission, or write it out and post that in to the Council instead of completing it online. Submissions are open until Friday 10 April 2026.

This project is part of the Metropolitan Greenspace Program that is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with Cumberland City Council.
