Community Strategic Plan 2017-27 Review

Tell us your vision for the future of Cumberland

July 2021 update:

The survey is now closed, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to all who provided feedback.

May 2021 consultation:

The Cumberland Community Strategic Plan 2017-27 is our long-term plan for our city, created by the community of Cumberland. The Community Strategic Plan (CSP) reflects the community's long-term vision for the future of Cumberland.

The Council must review the CSP every 4 years, following an ordinary election of Councillors. In preparation for the upcoming 2021 Council elections, we've started the process of reviewing and updating our CSP. Any changes to the CSP must be endorsed by the Council by 30 June 2022.

Our strategic current goals, as identified by the community are:

  1. A great place to live
  2. A safe accessible community
  3. A clean and green community
  4. A strong local economy
  5. A resilient built environment
  6. Transparent and accountable leadership

Now it is up to you!

We want you to fill out the survey below, and let us know:

  • Where we are now in the Community Strategic Plan?
  • Where do we want to be by 2027? Have our goals changed since they were set in 2017?
  • How do we get there, and how will we know when we have arrived?

We know our community are passionate about the future of Cumberland. Now is your chance to give feedback on how we are going.

There will be two stages with Council's End of Term Report and review of the CSP:

Stage 1

Online survey, which will run from Monday 26 April to Monday 5 July. Submit your response below.

Stage 2

A range of focus groups and other activities, which will contribute to the final submission.

We encourage you to download a copy of the current Cumberland Community Strategic Plan for review from our document library, to assist with how you provide feedback for the End of Term Report.

During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their comments on their vision for the future. Submissions close on Monday 5 July 2021.

All written and digital submissions will go into a draw to win one of 4 x $50 vouchers!
