Kitchen 2 Gardens Program

The Kitchen 2 Gardens program aims to raise awareness of food and garden waste recycling, help residents build resilience and save money by growing vegetables at home. By growing vegetables at home, residents can also reduce food waste and food packaging.

Compost Giveaway

Location: Auburn Community Picnic Ground, Killeen Street, Auburn on Saturday, 22 June 2024.

Time: Either 9am to 11:30am OR 11:30am to 2pm

This program involves FREE compost bags and vegetable seed giveaways to Cumberland residents. The compost is made from the material collected from household green bins.

What you need to do to get your compost:

1. Register online. Bookings are strictly limited to Cumberland City residents and 1 booking per household.
2. Bring a printed or digital copy of your ticket along with you on the day of collection.
3. You must arrive within your selected collection time slot to receive your compost.

To make sure everyone gets a chance to collect their compost, there is a 2 bag limit per household.

Note: Without your ticket you will not be able to collect compost.
